Babysitter Training - Class teaches essential care-giving skills and
decision skills from identifying common safety
hazards and preventing injuries to how to find
and interview for babysitting jobs. For ages 11
- 13. Class time: 6 hours (This course is
routinely offered on a Saturday.)
Other Courses offered:
Family Caregiving - For individuals caring for a loved one at home. Modular program design lets you choose from nine one-hour sessions. Modules can be taken in any order or study on your own if you prefer. A Home Reference Kit is available with or without VHS/DVD or single booklets for each topic is available through the chapter.
Safe Baby Presentation - one hour abbreviated infant CPR presentation designed for small groups of expectant parents, their friends and family to learn CPR in their own home in a relaxed, fun and social environment. NOT intended for those in need of certification or detailed training.
CPR - Adult, Child & Infant - Class
covers how to assist when someone is choking,
and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a
heart attack, and how to administer lifesaving
CPR to Adults, Children and Infants.
Certification in this course meets the legal
requirements for CPR for daycare staff and
teachers. Class time: 6 hours
First Aid - In this class you will learn
to give immediate aid for scrapes, bruises, and
burns, and what to do while waiting for 911
responders. Certification in this course
meets the legal requirements for FA for daycare
staff and teachers. Class time: 4 hours
First Aid w/ CPR - Adult, Child & Infant -
Combines the First Aid course and CPR for Adult,
Child & Infant course into one all-day session.
Certification in this combined class meets the
legal requirements for FA & CPR for daycare
staff and teachers. Class time: 7 hours
Community CPR - learn skills to respond to emergencies, chocking, rescue breathing, signs of heart attack and CPR for adults, children and infants. Class time: 7 hours (This course is routinely offered as a two evening course. Must attend both nights for certification.)
