AMERICAN RED CROSS CELEBRATES ITS 125 BIRTHDAY
The American Red Cross was founded on May 21, 1881 and is celebrating 125 years of helping America to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The West Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross invites residents of Lake, Manistee and Mason counties to help celebrate this organizational milestone.
The West Shore Chapter will be hosting a 125th Birthday Party in the Ludington City Park (next to the House of Flavors) on Sunday, May 21, from 2 - 4 p.m. Please join us for cake, ice cream, and fun. Entertainment will be provided by the Mason County Central High School Band. Red Cross volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about our many programs and services and retail items such as Red Cross first aid kits and a variety of commemorative memorabilia will be available for purchase. While donations are welcome, there is no charge for admission to this event.
The West Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross serves Manistee, Mason and Lake Counties. For additional information on our programs and services, or on becoming a Red Cross volunteer, please contact the chapter at (231) 757-3069, (231) 745-4712, or (888) 241-3433, or visit our website at http://westshore.redcross.org
