BABYSITTER TRAINING SCHOLARSIHPS HIGHLIGHT UPCOMING HEALTH & SAFETY SCHEDULE
The West Shore Chapter is offering Babysitting Training on June 17th and July 15th, beginning
at 9 AM in Scottville. Class participants will learn essential care-giving and decision skills
from identifying common safety hazards and preventing injuries to how to find and interview
for babysitting jobs. Cost of the registration is has been reduced to $10 per student thanks
to funds received from the Kiwanis Club to be used as scholarship funds to sponsor youth
education classes. Class time is approximately 6 hours.
The Chapter will also be holding Adult CPR classes on June 27th and July 25th both. beginning at 6 PM in Scottville. Class participants will learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and how to administer the lifesaving skills of Adult CPR. Class time is approximately 4 ½ hours.
Instructor Training class will be held beginning June 12th through June 29th starting at 6 PM.
Students will meet 9 evenings to learn to teach First Aid/CPR/AED program courses and modules.
Upon successful completion class participants will receive Adult CPR/AED, Infant and Child CPR
and First Aid certifications along with Instructor certification. Class is approximately 36 hours.

Lake, Manistee and Mason Counties. These regularly scheduled classes are designed to
accommodate individual community residents. Please contact the West Shore Chapter to arrange
instruction for groups, organizations, or workplaces.
