WEST SHORE CHAPTER EXECUTIVE ACCEPTS NEW ROLE WITH THE RED CROSS
Vicki Chapman, the Executive Director for the West Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross, has been selected to fill the Executive Director position for Cape Fear Chapter of the American Red Cross in Wilmington, North Carolina. Vicki has volunteered for the American Red Cross since childhood, has been employed by the West Shore Chapter since January 2004, and has served as the Executive Director since February 2005. Vicki has managed Public Affairs on multiple national disaster relief operations over the past several years and her knowledge of hurricane preparedness and response activities were among the many qualities that attracted the Cape Fear Chapter to her.
"Vicki's guidance throughout this past year and a half has made the West Shore Chapter more cohesive and stronger than ever," stated Ellen Kerans, Vice Chair of the West Shore Chapter's Board of Directors. "We are proud of the progress that has been made under her direction. Our donor and volunteer bases have grown significantly through her proactive community relations efforts, strengthening our financial position and further enhancing our ability to deliver lifesaving programs and services to the residents of Lake, Manistee and Mason counties."

Carolina," continued Kerans. "While Vicki's leadership will be missed, we are confident that our chapter will continue to operate under strong interim management while the chapter's Board of Directors seeks a qualified and permanent replacement for the Executive Director position."
The West Shore Chapter is in the process of convening a Search Committee to recruit a new Executive Director. Further details about the search process and the qualifications for the position will be released in the next several weeks.
